Co-President and Executive Director of Operations, Administration and Finance

Ma'Keva M. Myricks-Puri is the Co-founder, Co-President, and Executive Director of CICAU. She has spent more than two decades in business operations and client management, and brings a wealth of business processes, financial analytics and reporting, and corporate management expertise to the CICAU. Having worked at Warner Bros. Discovery before moving on to manage nonprofit business operations for The Justice Management Institute, Ma'Keva has gained a healthy understanding and deep appreciation regarding the importance of staying current with industry standards and best practices. Her work over the years has seen her successfully form and manage relationships in both a domestic and international environment in various capacities. She has a thorough understanding and extensive training in project management, financial data management, human resources operations, and developing, streamlining, and implementing policies and procedures. Utilizing her education and real-world experiences, Ma'Keva provides beneficial knowledge to CICAU's operating success with focus, creativity, and organizational effectiveness.

Her enthusiasm and drive for cultural education stem from her personal and professional experiences. Being the mother of two multiracial and multicultural children has made Ma'Keva conscious of embracing differences and teaching diverse perspectives to comprehensively understand other people's values, cultures, and beliefs. This heightened awareness has led her to strongly advocate early cultural education as a foundation to eliminate biases, foster inclusivity, strive for cultural compassion, and encourage understanding. Through her work with CICAU, she seeks to provide children with the resources to establish and grow their cultural competence in a fun and engaging way.

As a military spouse, Ma'Keva continues to be committed to the veteran community through diverse family readiness group outreach. She also actively participates in her children's schools and remains heavily involved with their sports teams and supporting organizations. She prides herself on prioritizing family, friends, and community.

Ma'Keva holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Frostburg State University in Maryland.
